Privacy Policy

This notice explains how Whitepath Ltd handles personal data in connection with Renovue. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Our two roles

Controller — for your account, business and billing information, and our own marketing and operation of Renovue.
Processor — for the property photographs you upload and the renders generated from them, you (the installer) are the controller and we process that material only on your instructions. You confirm you have the homeowner's permission to upload and process their property images.

3. Property photographs & renders (where we are processor)

These are processed on your behalf to generate renders, only on your documented instructions (Article 28 UK GDPR). Renovue is designed not to require special-category data; our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits uploading images of identifiable people or sensitive content. You are responsible, as controller, for your lawful basis and for your homeowners' permissions.

4. Who we share data with

We use carefully selected providers under contract to run Renovue: Stripe (payments), our render/image-generation provider, our hosting provider, and our email provider. We do not sell personal data, and may disclose data only where required by law. Where a provider processes data outside the UK we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism (UK adequacy / UK-US Data Bridge, or the UK IDTA with a transfer risk assessment).

5. How long we keep data

Property photographs & renders — for the life of the project plus a short window; you can delete a project sooner in the app or by request.
Account data — while your account is active and a reasonable period afterwards.
Billing/tax records — retained for 6 years to meet legal obligations.
Marketing opt-outs — suppression records retained to honour your opt-out.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and to withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent). You can export or delete your account data from within the app, or contact us. For rights relating to homeowner property images, the homeowner should contact the installer (the controller); we will assist the installer as processor.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the service and, with your consent, analytics/marketing cookies, which you can manage via our cookie controls.

8. Complaints

If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We'd appreciate the chance to address it first.
